Adam Lallana has provided a timely positive update via social media as he continues a smooth recovery from his thigh injury.
The England star on Thursday posted on his Instagram page a picture of himself lacing up his boots suggesting he’ll be “back soon”.
Lallana suffered the injury during the Audi Cup final against Atletico Madrid in early August and was initially ruled out for around three months.
Liverpool’s medical department, though, confirmed at the start of this month that the midfielder should make his return in around six weeks, an update that made it easier for Jurgen Klopp to include the England man in our Champions League group stage squad.

The Reds confirmed last week that the 29-year-old ran for the first time outside at Melwood since sustaining the injury near the start of the season. Lallana’s smooth recovery puts him in contention for a return to full fitness before the big game against fierce rivals Manchester United just after the upcoming international break.
The current trio of Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum has somewhat failed to contribute offensively this season as the Reds have badly missed Lallana’s energy and creativity in the centre of the park and behind the front 3.
Hopefully, our number 20 is back as soon as possible and can help us start scoring some goals again.
With Lallana nearing his return from injury, who do you think will be dropped to make way for him?
