Arsenal have reportedly beaten Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea for the signature of highly rate Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac.
Reports in Bosnia on Friday morning claim that the 23-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement with the North-London club and will join them this summer on a free transfer deal.
The Bosnian, who will be a free agent after this season, has been linked with Liverpool and a number of other Premier League clubs for a while now but it seems that Arsenal have acted quickly to snap up the Schalke star.
While it is unknown if Kolasinac is actually in Jurgen Klopp’s ‘right player’ list for the summer, the defender has been a revelation for Schalke and signing such a talented young player on a free transfer would have been a bonus for us.
Earlier this month Corriere Dello Sport reported that AC Milan has a verbal agreement with the left-back and the Rossoneri are only waiting for the imminent Chinese takeover to be completed.
While the rumours sound contradictory, it seems Liverpool will find it very difficult to bring the player to Anfield, given the kind of competition, despite him becoming a free agent in the summer.
Liverpool’s current left back Alberto Moreno has lost his starting place to James Milner this season and is very likely to be sold in the summer. Despite playing very less this season, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Internazionale are rumoured to be interested in the Spaniard who will cost his suitors around £15m.
The Reds have been linked with a number of full-backs lately, including Fulham’s 16-year-old sensation Ryan Sessegnon.
